The camera that I used I had recently purchased from SLR Hut. It came with many accessories such as tripods, an SD card, filters, addition batteries, telephoto lens' and an external flash. This camera is very professional and creates a more polished look. The lens used was a EF S 18-55mm f/3.5 5.6 IS STM wide angled lens, which is for standard use, and is not specialized in long shots or close ups.
I make use of how the lens occasionally comes out of focus and blurs. This fits the theme of the song, as the protagonist is in a blurred mindset and is unsure of her choices and her future. She is struggling with depression, which is an illness, and the music video perfectly displays the struggle happening inside of her head. I love how the unfocused lens contributes to this.
I found that this camera was perfect for what I wanted to represent in my music video. The screen on the back flips so that I could see what I was filming whilst being filmed, which was a huge advantage because the majority of the filming I had done was on my own, and it is very difficult to film myself because of how easily the camera unfocuses.
